PDF Stack Privacy Policy

Introduction

PDF Stack ("the App") respects and protects the personal privacy rights of all users. This policy aims to explain how the App processes user information, ensuring users understand their data rights and the App's data handling practices.

Core Principle: The App focuses on local document processing and does not collect, store, or share any user personal information or file content.

Information We Do Not Collect

Personally Identifiable Information (PII): The App does not require user registration or login and will not collect personal information such as name, email, phone number, or location.

File Content: All documents opened or edited in the App (PDF, PPT, Word, Excel, Txt, etc.) are processed locally on the device and will not be uploaded to the cloud or sent to third parties.

Usage Data: The App does not track or record user behavior (e.g., file types opened, usage frequency).

Permission Usage Instructions

To enable document viewing and editing functions, the App requires the following device permissions for specified purposes only:

Permission Name

Purpose

Read Device Storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)

Used to open locally stored documents selected by the user

Write Device Storage (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)

Used to save user-edited documents to the local device

Commitment: The App only accesses files explicitly selected by the user and will not scan, read, or analyze other data on the device.

Data Usage and Sharing

Local Processing: All document operations are performed on the user's device. The App does not analyze, upload, or back up file content in any form.

No Data Sharing: User data (including file content and device information) will not be shared, sold, or disclosed to any third party, including the App developer.

User Rights

Users have full control over local files:

File Management: Users can view, modify, or delete files created/edited in the App through the device's file manager.

Permission Management: Storage permissions can be disabled at any time via "Settings > Apps > PDF Stack > Permissions". Disabling permissions may prevent the App from opening/saving files properly.

Privacy Policy Updates

Users are advised to review this policy periodically to stay informed about the latest data processing practices.
